Otolaryngology (Ears, Nose and Throat)

The goal of the holistic approach to ENT is to acknowledge and understand the patient as a whole being, finding suitable treatment with the help of specialized examination methods. The ears, nose, larynx, sinuses and oral organs lie close to our body’s main perception and regulating organ, the central nervous system. The close proximity influences the brain, spinal cord and cerebral nerve function.

Furthermore, we have learned from naturopathy, holistic medicine and Chinese medicine (TCM) that overlapping functional connections do exist. We know there is an interconnection between the organs in the ear with the kidney and bladder, the palatine tonsils with the liver and gall bladder, the nose and sinuses with the mucous membrane of the intestinal tract and the jaw with the cardio-vascular system. And last but not least, an association has been made between allergies and stomach-spleen function. Conventional and holistic medicine examinations can detect imbalance before functional or physically manifested illnesses occur.

With the combination of conventional and holistic medicine a large spectrum of examination and treatment possibilities unfolds with special attention given to:

  • Elimination of disruptive focal points on the tonsils, sinuses, and scar tissue.
  • Resuming and strengthening the natural bodily functions (the mucous membranes in the nose and throat).
  • Holistic treatment for tinnitus, Meniere´s disease, hyperacusis, and dizziness found in naturopathy, acupuncture, neural therapy, manual and osteopathic therapy, homeopathic and immune modulation therapy.
